If you use brown, neutral—mocha, spice, or currant colored blush, these tips will help.
Shades of brown are sensational for accenting both “warm” and “cool” complexions. Whether you select a powder, shimmer powder, cream, gel, or tint for your cheek accent, you should be able to tell that the color accents your combination of skin and hair color. If it’s not your color, save it for blending with another product to create a better shade for you. Keep a dusky pink color of blush on hand to wear on days when you feel under the weather. Warm pink will perk up a tired skin tone. Find your natural blush area by checking a mirror after you’ve been for a brisk walk on a cold day. Use a round fluffy cosmetic brush to sweep color across the apples of your cheeks, and toward your hairline. Keep your cosmetic brushes clean with a regular washing. In between, use a baby wipe to keep from mixing colors. For after five drama, contour the hollow of your cheek with a darker shade of blush or bronzer. A light sweep of shimmer atop the apples of your cheeks makes a sensual statement. A beautiful shimmer on cheekbones and brow bones creates a stunning night sensation. When you apply cream or tint forms of blush, be sure to dab it on in several places and blend evenly from there—rather than trying to blend one big streak of product. Beautiful! Your complexion looks great with a sun-kissed touch of color. Sweep your blush brush across your forehead, nose, and chin. Bronzers create a great natural looking glow to skin. Keeping cheek color in complementary and natural looking shades will provide the perfect complexion addition. Celebrate your natural beauty, and give yourself some special kindness every day.
